DAE provides Engineering Consulting services to IntelliCup.
IntelliCup is a patented smart beverage dispensing system that integrates a bottom filled cup with NFC identification, a mobile application for fund and cup management, a pouring unit and a management back-end to provide a full beverage solution that benefits the consumer and the operator.
DAE represented IntelliCup in design meetings with hardware and software partners, guiding the over-all product design. During the development process DAE managed the various sub-contractors, keeping dialogue channels open, mediating integration discussion and serving as the final QC step before sign-off. DAE also contributed to the firmware design of the IntelliHead machine.
DAE now manages the IntelliHead firmware along with further development of the IntelliCup mobile application.
DAE designed a work resource tracking system for Special Products and Technologies.
SPT is a design and manufacturing business based in Cape Town. DAE provided SPT with a bespoke, turn-key system that tracked the work done within their business. Each staff member was issued with an NFC ID card and each job number in their internal was also assigned an NFC card. Project management staff issues the job card to staff who clock in and out of jobs using an NFC reader in the project management office. A connected display shows a realtime overview of which staff members are clocked in and to which jobs. A web-management portal hosted on the local intranet provides an interface to add new employees and jobs and an advanced log page which can generate Excel reports based on job number(s), employee(s), date range or any combination of those.
iqTelemetry
DAE was contracted by iqTelemetry to contribute to the firmware stack of the Peninsula Beverages (Coca-Cola) vending machine upgrade project. DAE wrote the software logging routines on the embedded hardware. All software was written in embedded C for the XC8 compiler. The vending machine upgrade roll-out has begun and Coca-Cola products bought from vending machines in the Western Cape are partially brought to you by DAE.
OT360 provides Occupational Therapy services in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town.
DAE manages the IT requirements of OT360 including Email management, real-time staff co-ordination and hardware troubleshooting.
